Would you prefer Pongal to be Tamil New Year day?

Well, of all the critical issues Tamilnadu is facing, shifting the tamil new year day from April 14th to the Pongal day is the top priority to the present government. To many people like me, we lose one holiday on April 14, and there won’t be any shoppers delight/discounts for the erstwhile Tamil new year!

The government should take a look at the roads in and around Guindy Industrial estate, complete the flyover projects on time and make the lives of heavy tax payers like me enjoy my way home after a hard day’s work. I’m a Tamizhan, and ‘m the least bothered about celebrating Tamil New Year or Pongal, if the roads and civic services around my house and work place sucks!

It’s high time the government stops discussing about these petty issues inside an air-conditioned hall, and starts concentrating on more practical ‘Human’ issues like good roads, sanitation and other essential ingredients that would make our society a better place to live. What say you?
