Listening to Slumdog Millionaire – Rahman’s musical treat

After hearing about news that A R Rahman has won the Golden Globe nomination for Danny Boyle’s movie ‘Slumdog Millionaire‘, I wanted to get my hands on the music CD. However, before I could make the buy, I tried out some samples.  Oh boy! they are good, considering the usual Rahman phenomenon that you need to listen to the tracks more than twice. It’s like pure red wine. The songs need to grow on you! To me, ‘Slumdog Millionaire‘ will feed my auditory-lust while driving in Chennai traffic, or when I hit the East Coast Road enroute to Pondicherry!!

The album also features another artist by name M.I.A (alias Mathangi “Maya” Arulpragasam).
