Industrialists and environmentalists are going crazy about making us live GREEN.

TransactionTree has come up with a new initiative of creating paperless receipts. This initiative serves three purposes:
- Saves you from getting frustrated standing in the long queue of the grocery store, while the paper roll in the cash counter gets jammed.
- Saves paper – saves trees (weren’t they using recycled paper already for receipts?)
- Saves you from stuffing your wallet with a bunch receipts, instead of currency paper (real good purpose..)
So how does this ‘paperless‘ thingy work?
Well, you walk up to the counter, give your e-mail address and the receipt gets mailed to your inbox. No more printing of receipts! Of course, if you can always ask for a paper receipt at the counter.
This is just a small step towards conserving trees, and protecting the environment for our future generation, but a significant step towards creating awareness – one purchase at a time as per the company’s motto.
For now, this facility would cater to those that have access to the Internet. Not sure how long this would take to reach the 1,018,057,389 people who use the Internet worldwide. Of course, great trees are made from small seeds. What say you?

yeah. but how long would you wait in line giving your email address? do you type it on the credit card/ debit screen??
Well, just a few more seconds I guess for the operator to punch in your email address. I believe there will be a way from the near field communication equipments gaining momentum!
