Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya – Music review

Undoubtedly, Rahman is a phenomenon!

This statement pretty much gives you an idea of what rating this album, Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya, is gonna get from me and from all other Rahman fans.

Unlike Dilli 6, this album doesn’t pack any new music genres, but who cares…the music is way too beautiful and repeatable for a hero like Silambarasan (a.k.a. Simbu). Gosh, I can’t even imagine how he’s gonna do justice to the sanctity of the songs. When I think of him, I can see his full monty type of dance for the ‘yaar vootla party’ song. Disgusting!!

Well, coming to the album..

1. Omana Penne, by Kalyani Menon & Benny Dayal – rating 4/5. Repeatable? Yes!

2. Anbil Avan, by Devan Ekambaram & Chinmayi – rating 4.5/5. Repeatable? Very much!

3. Hosanna, by Vijay Prakash, Suzanne, Blaaze – rating 4.5/5. Repeatable? Actually, I lost count on how many times I listed to this song!

4. Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa, by Karthik. Rating 3/5. Repeatable? Just so so..

5. Kannukkul Kannai, by Naresh Iyer. Rating 4.5/5. Repeatable? Very much!

6. Mannipaaya, by A.R.Rahman, Shreya Ghoshal. Rating 4/5. Repeatable? It depends on your mood.

7. Aaoromale, by Alphonse. Rating 4.5/5. Love the strings. Rating 4/5. Repeatable? Yes!

It wouldn’t do justice if I describe music by mere words…especially that of Rahman. Listen to it, and let the music sink deep within your heart.
