Today’s theme – travel, environment
When I visited Yercaud, a hill station near Salem, Tamil Nadu, the first things I noticed were those coffee beans and bunches of pepper. The air was cool and calm, in spite of the ambience buzzing with tourists. A trek along the coffee estates early in the morning gives you ample time to get closer to the nature – the sights and sounds, and the mystic colors highlighted by the early morning sun.

Well, when one gets close to the nature, in a serenely calm morning ambience, positive thoughts (to some, they are weird!) cross your mind. In the picture above, there is nothing unusual about a flower and a pile of rocks and a side-walk. What is unusual is that I couldn’t spot a single flower for more than 800 meters along the side-walk, but for this one that has fought its way out through those rocks. I found this interesting as I thought it was trying to convey a message to me about life. FIGHT to accomplish, the outcome is beautiful and lovable!
If only these terrorists could get a better meaning of what ‘LIFE’ means, by getting a bit closer to mother nature, more than 60% of the sufferings in this world would come to an end. What say you? And what do you think is the reason for the remaining 40% of our sufferings in this mortal life span?

The flower is very slightly blurred, but all in all, an amazing angle. I really love the color composition in the pic. I can get a feel of how nice it looks early in the morning, and to spot a bright colored flower along the monotonous trekking path! Good one
You are right, the flower is a bit blurred. I took this pic with a Canon A520 point and shoot camera, which obviously has limited focusing capabilities. I wanted to capture both the flower and the background sharp! When I clicked, I didn't notice that the flower got slightly blurred since the camera has a small LCD screen.
I saw this on your photo page once before and felt an easily explained affinity. These 'morning glories' grow on the fence lines in the midwest (US) and easily here in Florida. Although not usually a flower person, I have always loved thier indominibility and grace. As nature is a force greater than what we can comprehend, it must by necessity put our petty differences into perspective. The reasoning for our suffering? Is it for a reward in the afterlife? Simply unavoidable? Got me. Perhaps it is just so that we have something that defines our moments of peace, or happiness.
Even 'm not a flower person. But this one caught me eye 'coz this was the only flower that I could spot at that point of time. That's, usually, a trekkers path, and, who knows the others would have just perished by the trampling of insensitive trekkers.
