Western Ghats in India – the first thing that comes to your ‘virtual-eye’ (a.k.a mind) are those green carpeted valleys and hills, water falls, lakes and rivulets in their purest forms and some scenic dams here and there. Environmentally, Western Ghats is one of great importance as it is the habitat of a diverse variety of flora and fauna. No wonder it’s been classified as one of the few bio-diversity hot-spots in the world.
Parambikulam is a scenic place situated in between the majestic Anamalai Ranges of Tamil Nadu and the Nelliyampathy Ranges of Kerala. The moment I entered Parambikulam, it started drizzling. However, I managed to click a couple of snaps before the rains could lash me inside out!
How many colors can you spot in this picture? Though ‘m not color-blind, I can see only green, blue and gray.
It always feels good to be with Nature, far from the madding crowd, pollution and incessant honking of the motorists of Chennai city. Well, applies to other cities too..
