Lucid infographic of world oil spills since 1967
The oil spill off the Gulf of Mexico is the most talked about environmental disaster by the USA (it’s the US ‘coz it has happened very close to them). The infographic below gives a lucid view of the amount of oil spilled since 1967, and how long it takes for a spill to clear up.
The figures are alarming. I like the contrast in this infographic, with the green background for the seas, and the black droplet for the disastrous spills.
