Just a few minutes ago I mentioned how ‘enjoyable’ tax paying is (pun intended)! Now click here to see a picture where the insensitive government wastes tap water, and a man in the background carrying mineral water to be sold to us (read: tax payers!) As rightly titled ‘what a waste’!!

Well, I don’t wanna say that ‘I hate paying tax’, as I get very little from the government (not even decent roads for my car!). Having said that, a salaried-class person cannot escape from paying tax to the government as some stupid outsourced payroll company will snatch his hard-earned money and give it to the government. Still, if you are smart, can save on tax for a happier retired life!

I was entering my office today at 9:30 AM, after parking my car at the dingy basement, with my laptop bag dangling from my right shoulder and my left hand holding my lunch bag. While swiping the card, through the translucent glass door, I could see a guy waiting for the elevator, and he did notice me near the glass door. So, the elevator came – he stepped in, closed the door and vanished. I was just about 15 feet from the elevator, just pushing the glass door open, and this guy had the slightest courtesy to wait for me (for a few seconds though!). From the tag and ID card color, I’m very sure that he’s an IT professional, and not an office boy with the company. Forget that, even an office boy or an uneducated person will definitely have the courtesy to wait – as his brain can ‘think’. Well, it is not the first time this is happening to me, probably the umpteenth time. How many of you open the door and hold it for someone to pass (not just for pretty ladies!)?. The essence of education is to impart sense and sensibility along with academic knowledge. Why’re people like this?

The police seized cash, gold and silver, totally worth Rs.20 crore, allegedly belonging to the promoters and some senior executives of the Gold Quest, Commissioner of Police G. Nanchil Kumaran told reporters here on Tuesday. The police are examining the possibilities of detaining the accused under stringent Acts as the investigations conducted so far suggested that the intention of the accused was to cheat public.
