The latest update to YouTube on iPhone/iPad allows you to play videos even while you search. This is a welcome change. However, Google’s intelligent algorithm often bumps up the video to 720p or down to a blurry 144p resolution. Quite annoying most of the time.
If you’re on a limited data connection (WiFi or cellular), you would often want to have control over the video quality – I generally keep it to 360p. How do you do this?
Well, download the Jasmine player! Though it doesn’t support video playback while searching at the moment, you will appreciate its smooth, clean interface and video quality control for sure.
