Phantom King – Android 2.2 ROM for Motorola XT502

phantom king froyo android 2.2 rom for Commtiva Z71 variants Motorola XT502

I just installed this latest ROM that was available on AndroidPT. After using this ROM for the past 2 days, I can see that it’s quite similar to the FireTrap JellyBean ROM.

Note: This Phantom King Froyo ROM is for Commtiva Z71 variants (Motorola XT502/XT3/XT5, Orange Boston, Apanda A60, etc).

Though I liked the Gingerbread keyboard in JellyBean, this Phantom ROM has included Swype – it’s good, you’ll get used to it if you’re a power user. Also, the launcher here is LauncherPro. I’m a fan of ADW Launcher, but it’s OK to have LauncherPro too – big deal; just a few more days for the Android 2.3 Cyanogen (CM7) release.

Battery life – almost same as JellyBean. With nominal usage I get 2 days and 8 hours. With YouTube and other Wi-Fi activities – 1 day and 17 hours!

Animation – smooth, but flamboyant

Quadrant Score: 656

An offtopic question: Does your phone blink in any way when idle/blank screen informing an event (new sms/call/lost calls)?
Im diggin’ if it just me (cant figured out) or this device didnt came with a proper Led alert system?

    Cheers!

    • No, it doesn’t. Some new feature ? 😛

Thanks God, I thought it was only me.
New feature? nah, just discovering the lacks of this phone day by day… when trying to use Blink.apk
It would have been great such feature. Just imagine the ball blinking in so many weird colours informing you about some new mail, sms and so on.

I could not able to download this. Do you have any alternative path to download?

    • Phantom King is considerably old, now. Why don’t you try the subsequent versions from here – http://www.androidpt.com/index.php?option=com_kunena&func=view&catid=149&id=149724&Itemid=30
