Well, this is the question every ambitious blogger in the blogosphere asks to himself. Every time I write a new article, I’ve this question in my mind. I then check my blog statistics (thanks to the WordPress plugin) to see how many visitors clicked on the new article, and who the referrers are.
I take special care on search-engine-optimizing (look for SEO score) my blog post before publishing it, so that it is indexed by Google as quickly as possible. I’ve given a short gist of the same (including a screen shot where you can see how fast Google indexed that very blog post) over here.
So far so good! But is SEO the only strategy to popularize your blog? NO. SEO is just like a guide. It will guide visitors to your blog via search engines and the relevant tag terms that you use for your posts. There is a whole lot of other factors that will drive visitors, keep ‘em glued to your blog or simply bounce ‘em off. The bounce rate of my blog is at 43.6%, and I blame myself for having such a huge number! I blame myself because I hardly follow even 70% of the below mentioned ways to make the blog a killer. Probably, if blogging has been my full-time job, I would have accomplished the task of making mine a killer blog.
The collection of tips below is about three years old, but every tip holds true even today.
