Zylog Systems India Ltd. (ZIL), has started wireless broadband services in Chennai, under the brand name Wi5. A first look at the plans gives me a feeling that they are way cheaper than most other Internet service providers (ISPs). Their base plan starts at Rs. 550, and according to ZIL COO R Janakiraman, the minimum data speed is 1mbps.
Mouth-watering data plans..(ahem, inclusive of service tax!!)
If this is the case, then the starter plan will do wonders for a typical home user that desire to download a lot, at decent speeds.
I’m on the look out for such a plan, to untangle myself from ‘wired and costlier’ ISPs like Airtel. I’ll update this post once I get a hang of the data speed and quality of service.
